Monthly rotating contests
The contest resets on the 1st of every month. Each month spotlights a different stat — Realized P/L, Win Rate, Profit Factor, Avg ROI, Premium Captured, and more. The top performers at month-end share the prize pool.
Only one metric at a time
Each month has a single stated contest. Everyone knows exactly what they're competing on.
Rotation prevents gaming
A trader who dominates P/L month won't necessarily win Win Rate month. Different skills win different months.
Stats reset vs. lifetime stats
Contest rankings use all-time stats pulled from your broker history — not just the current month's trades.
Realized P/L
Most real dollars pocketed.
Win Rate
Highest % of winning trades.
Profit Factor
Gross wins ÷ gross losses.
Avg ROI
Best average return per trade.
Win Streak
Longest active consecutive winning streak.
Premium Captured
Most theta income from selling options.
Payoff Ratio
Avg win size ÷ avg loss size.

% of collected premium retained at close.

Who can compete
Contest eligibility
Broker connected
Your brokerage account must be linked via OAuth. Stats are computed from real brokerage fills — not manual entry.
Profile not hidden
Your profile must be publicly visible. Traders with "Hide my profile" enabled are excluded from all contests.
Stat not private
For dollar-denominated contests (P/L, Premium Captured), your "Show dollar P/L" setting must be on. For %-based contests (Avg ROI, Profit Factor, etc.), your "Show % ROI" setting must be on. Contests with no privacy gate (Win Rate, Volume, Win Streak) always include you if you're verified.
At least one qualifying value
You must have a non-null value for the contest metric. Traders with no closed trades don't rank for win rate, for example.
Privacy settings control contest entry
Go to Settings → Privacy → Trade Feed to control your P/L visibility.
Dollar contests (Realized P/L, Premium Captured) require "Show dollar P/L" to be on.
Percentage contests (Avg ROI, Profit Factor, Payoff Ratio, Capture Rate, Consistency) require "Show % ROI" to be on.
The money
How the prize pool works
30% of all subscription revenue collected during the month goes into the prize pool. The pool grows as more traders subscribe to follow verified creators on the platform. At the end of each month, the pool is split among the top 10 finishers.
The prize pool is estimated live based on active subscriptions at the time. Final payouts are calculated at month-end.

FAQ
Do I have to enter every month?
You're automatically entered in any month where you're verified and your relevant privacy settings are on. There's no sign-up required per contest — just be connected and visible.
What if my stat is private?
If the contest requires "Show dollar P/L" and you have it off, you won't appear on the leaderboard for dollar-denominated contests. Flip the toggle under Settings → Privacy → Trade Feed before month-end to enter. Win Rate, Volume, and Win Streak have no privacy gate.
When does the contest reset?
The leaderboard reflects all-time stats — not just the current month's trades. The contest itself rotates on the 1st: a new metric is spotlighted each month. Prize pool resets and accumulates fresh each month.
How are ties broken?
Ties in the primary metric are broken by number of closed trades — more trades signals more confidence in the stat. If still tied, timestamp of last qualifying fill breaks it.
Do I have to publish every trade?
No — but skips are logged and reduce your Transparency Score, which is visible on your public profile. Consistent skipping undermines the verified record your stats are built on.
How is account balance handled?
Traders can opt-in to display account stats (Net Liq, Cash, Buying Power, BPR, Margin) and portfolio Greeks on their profile. Everything is off by default — each field is individually toggled in privacy settings. Subscribers and public visitors only see what the trader has explicitly turned on. Account numbers are never shown.
When do prizes get paid?
At the end of the month once final standings are confirmed. Payouts are processed within a few business days of month close.
What's the minimum requirement to place?
You need at least one qualifying fill for the contest metric. Traders with null stats for the active metric are excluded from rankings automatically.
Can I use a pseudonym?
Yes. Your brokerage account is verified — your fills are real. Your public display name can be anything. There's no requirement to use your real name.
What if my broker isn't supported yet?
You can create a profile now and connect as soon as your broker is live. Request your broker at hello@openpit.app — high-demand brokers get prioritized.
